Job Description

The Chief Operations Officer is responsible for overseeing all operational activities of the Bank, ensuring they fully conform to the Bank’s quality standards and systems, and that they consistently meet both customer expectations and the Bank’s internal requirements.

Are you someone who can

Implement and communicate a business-aligned strategy that balances short-term growth with long-term sustainability for both the Business Unit and the Bank.Translate strategic objectives into actionable goals and oversee execution of key projects with measurable performance indicators.Drive net profit growth and manage the cost-to-income ratio to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.Enable enduring, rewarding relationships through the definition, creation and socialisation of the business aligned and integrated Business Unit customer sales and service delivery strategy in support of the Brand.Lead initiatives to optimise processes, leverage technology, and drive innovation for improved efficiency and service delivery.Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, ensure compliance, and implement appropriate interventions to meet audit and governance requirements.Develop deep insights into market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive threats to inform strategic decision-making.Execute a people strategy that nurtures talent, promotes a high-performance culture, and holds business unit leaders accountable for driving strategic behaviours.

You will be an ideal candidate if you

Have a minimum degree in Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, Banking or any relevant field.Have a Master of Business Administration, Business Finance or any relevant field (it will be an added advantage). Have 8-10 years working experience in Operations with 3- 5 years in Senior Leadership.
