Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Chief of Staff - ERP for a major utilities provider embarking on a large-scale digital transformation, implementing SAP S/4HANA across all business units. This initiative will modernize HR, Payroll, Finance, and operational processes, impacting thousands of employees and stakeholders. The Chief of Staff – ERP will serve as the right hand to the VP of HR, acting as the “eyes and ears” on the ground, ensuring seamless communication between technical and business teams, and driving project success in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the VP of HR, providing real-time updates and insights on project progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Act as a liaison between HR, IT, and business units, translating technical requirements into business solutions and vice versa.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among VPs, Presidents, and C-Level executives to ensure alignment and resolve issues quickly.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation for the SAP S/4HANA implementation, proactively raising concerns and recommending solutions.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring adoption of new processes and technologies across the organization.
- Identify and escalate project risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies to leadership, driving resolution and accountability.

Skills and Requirements
- 10–15+ years of experience in IT, or business operations, with a strong track record supporting large-scale, complex ERP transformations.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP implementations in a utilities or comparable industry.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence; able to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to act as a bridge between technical and business teams, translating requirements and driving consensus.
- Experience managing project risks, change management, and process improvement in dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to Boston or New York as needed. - Prior experience supporting HR digital transformations in the utilities, energy, or regulated industries.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules related to HR, Payroll, and Finance.
- Experience working directly with C-Level executives on strategic initiatives and transformation programs.
