No County Nassau Street Address Member/Albany and District Office/Hempstead City Hempstead State NY Zip Code 11550 Duties Description The Chief of Staff is the Assembly member’s team lead, who ensures that the office’sdaily and long-term operations are effectively working towards the Assembly member’s goals to support the constituents. They are the primary liaison between the office and governmental agencies, stakeholders, and community leaders, and implement the office’s legislative initiatives while managing the staff. They work in tandem with the District Director and together form the Executive Committee to maintain and improve office systems and procedures while leading constituent services, community affairs, communications, legislative work, and scheduling. They also support and advise the Assembly member, and work with them to develop relationships and achieve strategic goals.
