The company is a reputed manufacturing conglomerate overseeing 6-7 large firms and 5-6 small firms. Headquartered in Ujjain, the Group operates through one primary manufacturing unit and two corporate centers, employing over 40+ team members across HR, administrative, and site operations.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the entire HR function across multiple firms within The Group. This role is strategic in nature and requires a seasoned HR leader with strong operational execution, legal compliance understanding (both Indian and U.S. laws), and a proven track record in the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
Develop and implement group-wide HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
Drive HR transformation across all group companies, promoting a unified culture while respecting site-level uniqueness.
Act as a trusted advisor to the Director and business heads on all human capital matters.
Team Management & Structure
Lead a team of 25-30 professionals, including site HRs, HR Heads, and administrative staff.
Ensure alignment and efficiency across 1 Unit, 2 Corporate Centres, and multiple firm locations.
Mentor and guide HR leaders across group companies for operational excellence.
HR Operations
Oversee end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compliance, performance management, and employee engagement.
Build scalable HR processes and systems to support business growth.
Compliance & Policy Governance
Ensure adherence to labor laws, industrial relations, and statutory compliance.
Be aware of and incorporate elements of US employment laws in applicable global operations (~10%).
Organizational Development
Drive talent management, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.
Foster a performance-driven, inclusive, and accountable work culture.
HR Analytics & Reporting
Monitor and analyze HR metrics to support data-driven decisions.
Report on key HR KPIs and workforce insights to the Director and management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
10 to 15 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
Proven ability to manage complex HR operations across multi-unit and multi-company environments.
Sound knowledge of Indian labor laws; exposure to U.S. HR legal frameworks is a plus.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
