The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a strategic business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, responsible for driving the company’s financial strategy, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting sustainable growth. The CFO oversees all financial functions including financial planning & analysis, accounting, treasury, taxation, compliance, risk management, and investor relations.
Key Responsibilities Strategic LeadershipPartner with the CEO and Board to shape and execute the company’s long-term financial strategy.
Provide strategic insights on business performance, growth opportunities, capital allocation, and risk.
Support mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and strategic partnerships.
Lead scenario planning, forecasting, and business modeling to guide decision-making.
Financial Planning & Performance ManagementOversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
Monitor financial performance against targets and provide actionable insights.
Drive cost optimization, margin improvement, and profitability initiatives.
Establish and track KPIs aligned with business objectives.
Accounting, Controls & ComplianceEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS / GAAP).
Oversee internal controls, audits, and statutory compliance.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
Strengthen financial systems, processes, and policies.
Treasury, Cash Flow & Capital ManagementManage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations.
Oversee banking relationships, financing, debt management, and investments.
Lead capital-raising activities including equity, debt, and other funding options.
Optimize capital structure and manage financial risk.
Risk Management & GovernanceIdentify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and market risks.
Ensure robust enterprise risk management practices.
Support the Board and Audit Committee with transparent reporting and governance oversight.
Leadership & Team ManagementBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders to enable growth.
Key Qualifications & Experience EducationChartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / CFA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
Experience12–20+ years of progressive experience in finance, with significant leadership responsibility.
Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader in a complex organization.
Strong exposure to strategic finance, FP&A, compliance, and capital markets.
Experience working with Boards, investors, and external stakeholders.
