The Chief Engineer is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of all engineering, technical, and maintenance functions within the hotel. This position plays a critical part in maintaining the high standards of a five‑star property and supporting exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Operations Management: Oversee daily engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring all systems operate smoothly and efficiently.Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life‑safety systems.Team Leadership: Lead, train, and supervise the engineering team, ensuring high performance, safety compliance, and professional development.Budget Cost Control: Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize energy consumption and operational costs.Health Safety Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local regulations, Hyatt standards, and international safety requirements.Project Management: Oversee renovation, repair, and upgrade projects, coordinating with contractors and internal stakeholders.Crisis Emergency Response: Maintain readiness for emergencies and ensure proper functioning of fire‑life safety systems.

Guest Support: Respond promptly to guest concerns related to engineering and maintenance, ensuring high satisfaction.
