The **Chief Engineer** will lead the Maintenance and Operations (M&O) of infrastructure assets in an industrial setting. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supervising union personnel, and ensuring all systems and facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with ABM standards and clients’ expectations.
The Chief Engineer will also be expected to perform hands-on work when necessary, stepping in to support the team during critical tasks or resource shortages. While not required to operate equipment daily, the role will provide technical support and oversight to vendors who operate the equipment day to day.

**Pay Range is: $93.35** /HR (http://60.0.0.5/HR)
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. An offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

**Essential Functions**
+ **Leadership & Supervision**
+ Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards.
+ Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
+ Schedule and assign tasks based on operational priorities and staffing levels.
+ Ensure compliance with union agreements, company policies, and safety regulations.
+ **Maintenance & Operations Oversight**
+ **CMMS Implementation & Oversight:** Establish and manage a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to streamline preventive and corrective maintenance scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
+ **Asset Inventory & Management:** Catalog and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all equipment and infrastructure assets within the facility.
+ **Critical Parts Inventory:** Develop and maintain a robust inventory of critical spare parts to support uninterrupted operations and rapid response to equipment failures.
+ **Maintenance Documentation:** Create and maintain detailed maintenance records using documentation provided by onsite SMEs. Ensure records are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
+ **Industrial Equipment Oversight:** Provide technical support and oversight for industrial systems such as conveyors, screw augers, and vibratory feeders. Operate equipment when necessary to support the team or during critical operations.
+ **Vendor Coordination:** Collaborate with and support vendors responsible for daily equipment operation, ensuring alignment with performance and safety standards.
+ **Facility Support Tasks:** Perform general facility maintenance as needed.
+ **Planned Maintenance Coordination:** Lead and coordinate planned shutdowns for major maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
+ **Procedure Development:** Develop and implement Maintenance Operating Procedures (MOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all equipment and systems.
+ **EHS Coordination:** Partner with Clients Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) teams to ensure all operations meet safety and regulatory standards.
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or engineering setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
+ Strong knowledge of CMMS platforms and maintenance best practices.
+ Demonstrated experience with industrial equipment such as conveyors, screw augers, and vibratory feeders.
+ Familiarity with facility infrastructure and safety protocols.
+ Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
+ Requires experience in industrial equipment such as conveyors, screw augers, and vibratory feeders.
+ **Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in high-tech or mission-critical environments.
+ Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.
+ OSHA or other safety-related certifications.
