Chief Engineer will direct and support but not limited to the daily operations of Static Engineering Services for their facilities, ensuring that a safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of services is provided to the client and building occupants. They provide direct support to field operations and are responsible for performance metric tracking and reporting. They review and approve all timecard and P Card purchases for their technicians and ensure adherence to work order SLA’s. They participate in the recruiting, interviewing and onboarding of all types of engineers.
Essential Functions Include:
Responsible for maintaining daily working staff levels pursuant to the goals of the operation and the needs of the facilities.Ensure that engineering staff is qualified and trained to perform the duties they are expected to carry out as Static engineers.Identify the maintenance objectives and incorporate those objectives into a documented plan that includes preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance procedures.Identify safety hazards, working closely with EH&S and account management team to incorporate the remediation of hazards, ensuring a safe environment for building staff and route engineer’s. Ensure that compliance of all regulatory laws and guidelines are met as they relate to the operation of any of the building’s infrastructure.Work with Property and Project management to assist in the development of a Capital work plan which would include planning for infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements and building modifications to ensure the building’s future capabilities are maintained.Ensure ACI’s are accurate and kept up to date.Responsible for ensuring that project support is provided as needed by engineering staffEnsure participation in the company’s purchasing initiatives by engineers for parts and materials is needed to perform routine and non-routine tasks.Responsible for the gathering of information as requested by management for business reporting purposes.Perform on site Quality Assurance inspections of maintained facilities.Other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager, Engineering.Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or vocational degree program, preferred.10+ years of commercial trade experience, with a strong background in technical aspects of packaged HVAC equipment repair, maintenance and overall system design and application.Must have power generation and UPS experience.Supervisory experience in building engineering requiredComputer proficiency in MS Office Excel and Word, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)Must be able to deliver results thru others and manage work, people and processes from a central location.Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports with team membersUniversal CFC recovery certificationCandidate must possess valid driver’s license,Location:
