Rosewood Miramar Beach, a Rosewood Hotel, is looking for a multi-taleneted Chief Baker. The Chief Baker is responsible for managing all aspects of bakery operations, ensuring consistent product quality, efficient production, and adherence to food-safet standards. This leadership role includes supervising bakery staff, overseeing inventory and purchasing, developing new products, and supporting cost-control initiatives in alignment with departmental and property-wide goals.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise daily bakery production to meet operational and guest-service needs.Train, mentor, and supervise one bakery team member to ensure high performance and skill development.Plan and forecast production quantities based on daily business levels and seasonal demands.Maintain product consistency through strict quality-control standards and frequent evaluation.Enforce all food-safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in accordance with company policies and health regulations.Manage inventory of bakery ingredients and supplies, including monitoring stock levels and maintaining proper organization.Oversee weekly ordering of all bakery dry-storage items.Collaborate with purchasing and vendors to manage costs, ensure product availability, and support budget targets.Implement waste-reduction strategies and drive continuous efficiency improvements.Develop new recipes and update bakery menus with prior approval from management.Communicate production updates, challenges, and performance concerns to senior management in a timely manner.Qualifications:Proven experience in a bakery leadership role within a high-volume or hospitality environment.Strong technical knowledge of baking methods, ingredients, and production planning.Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.Ability to manage inventory, control costs, and maintain operational efficiency.Food-safety certification preferred.

The salary range for this position is $26.00 to $28.00. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.
