We are currently seeking a Chief AI Architect to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland (US-MD), United States (US).

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

AI Architecture, Agentic Frameworks, and Deployment

Pioneer Medicaid AI-First Frameworks: Develop and institutionalize the leading AI-first framework for Medicaid operations, building on prior successful blueprints and system mapping to drive multi-million-dollar AI adoption and establish new standards for public assistance programs. Design & Lead Multi-Agent Systems: Architect and deploy advanced, multi-agent AI frameworks (specifically leveraging platforms like UiPath Agentic AI/AWS/ MS) to automate complex, parallel workflows and high-volume exception handling tasks, with a goal of replacing manual review processes and automating over 95% of exception handling. Legacy System Modernization via AI:Assit in Leading state modernization initiatives by deploying working with partner agencies to deploy AI agents from submissions though the accurate population of legacy state systems, eliminating backlogs and reducing staff workload in the Medicaid enrollment and renewal processes. Secure System Integration: Design and implement compliant automations across key state systems including Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Other sytems, ensuring standardized workflows, reduced error rates, and enhanced system auditability.

Strategy, Program Leadership, and Executive Communication

Full Program Ownership: Serve as the overall program leader for major AI initiatives, demonstrating the ability to take full ownership after executive turnover and successfully navigate complex constraints across procurement, compliance, and IT. Executive & Stakeholder Management: Deliver strategic communication and maintain interagency trust. GenAI for Public Transparency: Lead the deployment of public-sector GenAI deployments, transforming complex processes into simple consumable products. ROI Modeling & Strategic Thinking: Conduct Al Use Case Mapping and ROI Modeling to identify mission-aligned use cases and secure funding for high dollar contracts.

Required Experience & Technical Expertise

Medicaid AI Leadership (Minimum 5 years' experience): Demonstrable, hands-on experience directing year-long AI and automation initiatives with major state agencies, specifically focused on health and human services and processes, and driving adoption of AI frameworks. Agentic and Conversational AI (Minimum 8 years' experience): Expert proficiency in Generative AI, Conversational AI, and deploying customer-facing systems, such as voice AI customer service agents and AI-powered systems. Technical Stack (Minimum 5 years' experience): Strong skills in Python, SQL, API Integration, and Low Code Development. Consulting & Pre-Sales Acumen: Proven experience in Technical Pre-Sales, PoC Development, and leveraging stakeholder interviews to design effective, custom client solutions.

Relevant Certifications & Skills

UiPath Advanced Developer Google Cloud Digital Leader Skills: Generative AI, Al Solutions Architecture, Agentic Al, Technical Discovery, RFP Support, Web3 Development.

 

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $79,920- $160,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
