**Description:**
**Position Summary**
The Chief Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with Hyatt standards, and adherence to local regulations. This role supports the Director of Finance in maintaining strong financial controls and operational efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Oversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Income Audit.Excellent knowledge of USALI System of Accounting is required.
+ Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing in line with Hyatt reporting requirements.
+ Maintain compliance with Hyatt policies, internal controls, and local statutory regulations.
+ Prepare financial statements, schedules, and reports as required by management and corporate.
+ Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
+ Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
+ Monitor balance sheet accounts and ensure proper reconciliations on a regular basis.
+ Supervise and develop the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth.
**Qualifications & Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
+ Minimum of 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in luxury hotels or large hospitality operations.
+ Strong knowledge of hotel accounting processes, financial controls, and the USALI System of Accounting.
+ Experience with hotel financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
+ High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
+ Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
+ Experience working with international hotel brands (Hyatt experience is anadvantage).
