Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Overall responsibilities and duties:

Manages Innovation projects and/or Technical Innovation projects and is responsible for all "deliverables" (Quality, Cost, Timeline)Ensures the technical implementation of innovation projects, research topics and advanced "sustainability" studies within the Innovation / R&D Chemistry departments

 

The main missions of the role are:

Propose and validate the main objectives of the project in accordance with the company's strategyEstablish the budget, schedule and planned milestones and ensure regular monitoring at all the stages of the projectBuild the project with the various experts involved in the project and ensure the integration of all technical and economic dataCoordinate and federate the involvement of the R&D experts/specialists and FAS metiers within the projectsManages relationships with selected suppliers/partners and supervises the implementation of co-development contracts with the legal and purchasing departmentsEnsure the promotion of projects with the departments concerned and with the clientParticipate in problem-solving groupsManage the transfer of the project to the CCM/R&D Chemistry departmentLead innovation topics in the R&D Chemistry laboratoryDevelop new polyurethane foams while meeting technical and economic challengesBuild the technical part of the project Ensure the realization of the first tests in the R&D Chemistry laboratory by implementing the chemical raw materials to produce polyurethane materialsAnalyse the root cause of product deficiencies and propose corrective actions during the works carried out on the "bench" and during the evaluation phase on a foaming machinePerform physical or chemical measurements to characterize PU foam materialsMaintain and promote contacts with suppliers of bio sourced/recycled raw materials and recycling partnersIs responsible for the equipment, means and tools used in the R&D Chemistry and Validation laboratoriesComply with the rules relating to health, safety, and the environment Propose, develop, and validate test methods for new projectsKnow and use basic IT or office automation tools wisely

 

Fueling/Scouting, Capitalization/Standardization & Network management:

Propose breakthrough projects in a product/process/function performance logicAnimate research actions for new ideas, solutions to a given problem and identify adequate partnersProvide expertise and support to innovation teams on the themes of "sustainable" padding, alternative padding, recycling & depollutionEvaluate the evolutions (technical – economic) and pre-validate them. Role of capitalization & standardization of the results of the projects in which it is involved, capitalization of lessons learned and other subjects on requestYour profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum education level: PhD in Chemistry or Chemistry engineer with 10 years of experience

 

Experience:

Successful achievements in an industrial environmentPolyurethane Foam experience and/or expertise(Minimum experience of 3 years in Organic / Polymer Chemistry)Innovation and development experience in automotive interior is a plusFluent English mandatoryPack office confirmed
