Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is looking for a Chemist/Data Validator based out of our Chelmsford, MA office, although the work may be done remotely. The selected candidate will be tasked with providing technical expertise and specialized consulting advice in Environmental Analytical Chemistry. The Chemist's primary role will be to validate analytical chemistry data and write data validation reports. Strong interpersonal and technical writing skills are critical, as is the ability to work effectively with team members as well as independently. The selected candidate must be well organized, be able to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time and deliver on time and on budget. The job responsibilities for this position include those listed above and may also include but are not limited to: + Assist with laboratory solicitation, evaluation, selection, and coordination tasks. + Liase with laboratories and field teams before and during sampling events. + Validate analytical data in accordance with published guidelines (DoD, NFG, Regional EPA) + Assist with preparation of Quality Assurance Project Plans under supervision of Senior Chemists + Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision. + Coordinate with Project/Senior Chemists on a regular basis. **Qualifications** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + BA/BS in Chemistry or related scientific field of study + 3+ years working in an environmental analytical laboratory and/or performing data validation. + Experience with operation and use of analytical laboratory equipment (e.g., ICP, ICP-MS, HPLC, GC, and/or GC/MS) + 40 Hour HAZWOPER training + Familiarity with Department of Defense Quality Systems Manual for Environmental Laboratories Version 6.0 + Familiarity with Department of Defense Data Validation Guidelines and Modules + Familiarity with EPA National Functional Guidelines for Data Review + Familiarity with automated data review systems such as EDMS, FUDSChem, or EPA EXES + Familiarity with Earth Soft's EQuIS database program **Additional Information** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION + Sponsorship is not available for this position now or in the future + Relocation is not available for this position. **About AECOM** AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
