Second Shift: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM OR Third Shift: 10:00 PM – 8:30 AMAbout the RoleWe’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytical ICP Chemist to join our laboratory team. This role is critical in delivering precise and timely sample analyses using established methods and procedures. Your work will directly support our sales, materials management, and production operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct multiple concurrent analyses following written procedures, aiming for high accuracy and performance.Inspect sample quality and labeling; report discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.Prepare and submit assay reports for managerial review and approval.Monitor and maintain equipment calibration; troubleshoot as needed.Review laboratory data for completeness and accuracy.Support method development and validation activities.Communicate effectively during shift transitions to ensure continuity of work.Assist in developing and delivering training on methods, equipment, quality protocols, and procedures.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or an associate degree with 2+ years of experience.Preferred Skills & ExperienceHands-on experience with wet chemical analysis and precious metals testing.Proficiency in instrumental techniques such as ICP, ICP-MS, XRF, and Acid/Base Titrations.Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.Ability to perform calculations involving volume, mass, atomic and weight percentages, density, molecular weights, and charge weights.Familiarity with statistical concepts and formula manipulation.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsTemperature-controlled lab/manufacturing setting.Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, handling tools, reaching, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs).Sensory requirements include close and distance vision, color perception, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.05/hr.
