Job Title: Chemist Job Description The Chemist is responsible for conducting pharmaceutical manufacturing testing using approved methods, procedures, corporate policies, and current industry standards. This role involves interaction with different levels of management and personnel within each department. Responsibilities + Follow all safety procedures and additional laboratory safety requirements. + Perform testing and record results according to Standard Operating Procedures. + Properly record and perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly calibrations, verifications, and maintenance on laboratory equipment, solutions, and tools. + Identify out-of-specification results, report them to a supervisor, and complete the required documentation. + Maintain all GMP standards and ensure a clean work environment. + Foster a friendly, respectful, and cooperative work atmosphere. + Verify calculations accurately and enter test results into the computer system for in-process samples and finished products as required. + Log in test samples correctly and enter the test schedule into the laboratory book for each sample. + Notify management of possible improvements, safety concerns, or other beneficial feedback. + Adhere to all rules and regulations of the Employee Handbook. + Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Chemistry. + Experience with HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and Gas Chromatography is preferred. + Analytical chemistry, testing validation, quality assurance, pharmaceutical safety, calibration, verification, and use of standard operating procedures. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
