Job Description

The Chemist is responsible for conducting pharmaceutical manufacturing testing using approved methods, procedures, corporate policies, and current industry standards. The role involves interaction with different levels of management and personnel across various departments.

ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety procedures and additional laboratory safety requirements.Perform all testing and record results according to written Standard Operating Procedures.Record and perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly calibrations, verifications, and maintenance on laboratory equipment, solutions, and tools.Identify out-of-specification results, report them to the supervisor, and complete necessary documentation.Maintain cleanliness and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Foster a friendly, respectful, and cooperative work environment.Verify calculations and enter test results into the computer system for in-process samples and finished products.Log test samples and enter the test schedule into the laboratory book for each sample.Notify management of any possible improvements, safety concerns, or beneficial feedback.Adhere to all rules and regulations of the Employee Handbook.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.Essential SkillsProficiency in chemistry, biology, and laboratory techniques.Ability to use general chemistry techniques and learn and retain information.Experience in chemistry bench work.Strong computer skills, including MS Office and web-based management systems.Experience in a chemistry laboratory within Food/Pharmaceutical manufacturing operations (preferred).HPLC testing experience (preferred).QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's degree in Chemistry.Experience with chemistry bench testing.Experience with HPLC and Gas Chromatography.Work Environment

Work in the General Health side of the company in a very clean and organized lab.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
