Chemical Purchasing Analyst | Clearwater, FL Job Description + The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the supply of raw materials, particularly active and inactive cosmetic ingredients. + A strong background in chemical purchasing and financial analysis is essential to ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality-driven procurement aligned with production schedules and financial forecasts. Responsibilities + Source and procure raw materials, chemicals, and ingredients used in the formulation of cosmetic and skincare products. + Establish and maintain relationships with domestic and international chemical suppliers and distributors. + Evaluate and negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and contracts to optimize purchasing strategies. + Monitor commodity pricing trends and their financial impact on the business. + Ensure supply continuity while optimizing inventory levels based on production forecasts. + Collaborate with the finance and production departments to ensure accurate cost projections and budgeting. + Maintain an organized database of vendor information, specifications, pricing, and purchase history. + Assist in internal audits and regulatory compliance related to material sourcing (e.g., GMP, FDA). + Analyze purchasing KPIs, price variances, and cost savings opportunities. + Manage purchase orders, delivery confirmations, and receipts within ERP or MRP systems. Work Environment The role is based onsite at a manufacturing company in an office setting.
