Opportunity Snapshot:

Compensation: $100-115,000.00 annual salary, DOELocation: Houston, TXAssignment Duration: Direct HireWork Schedule: M-F / 40 hours Benefits: Comprehensive insurance, 401K, Holidays and PTO Responsibilities Oversee operation of distillation projects and hydrogenation reactors, act as a technical resource for operations personnel, apply technical skills to optimize plant operations, to implement and commission yield improvement and cost saving projects, participate in procedure reviews and development, operator training, and site qualification effortsLead the operation of distillation projects and/or hydrogenation reactors Understand/Learn how equipment associated to the campaign operatesUnderstand and work with plant utilitiesWork with the Operations Director to provide data and chemical engineering support for specific product campaignsWork closely with Technical Advising and plant personnel to optimize operations and meet plant goalsWork closely with Quality Assurance personnel to ensure that all product specifications are metAssist the Engineering Department in developing cost-effective projects to optimize production and minimize working capitalDevelop procedures for items already in production or to be produced in the futurePrepare and enhance operating instructionsTroubleshoot plant operations when actual operation does not meet the expected operationGenerate reports that detail and summarize a specific campaign effort - reports include mass balances, process data analysis and de-bottlenecking proposals Develop and maintain campaign specific schedules to meet production demandEnsure campaigns are running efficiently by working with plant personnel, technical advisors, and data analysisActively participate with operators in the field to help identify process and safety improvementsCommunicate technical information and issues to plant personnel at all levels within the organization, when neededHelp to optimize the disposition of the waste (water and organics) generated in each project, to improve cost savingLead quarterly improvement meetings with Technical Advising personnel for the main projectsLead pre-campaign meetings prior start-up to discuss all items related to the project executionThis role can be physically demanding and candidate must be capable of taking on a number of physical challenges such as: moving and standing for long periods throughout a 12 hour day; work seated for up to 12 hours; use of ladders, stairs, ramps, etc; lifting and exerting force of up to 25 lbs; subject to extreme heat; and required to wear various PPE Qualifications B.S in EngineeringA minimum of 2-5 years work experience in an engineering roleMust be willing to participate in our 24/7 production facility call out policy, when neededAbility to function and communicate with all levels of the organizationAbility to obtain TWIC CardHoneywell Experion and Microsoft Project experience is a plus
