Job Title: Process Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Process Operator responsible for various functions and activities within the Production Department. This role involves raw material delivery, process operations, packaging, sampling, and light maintenance. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable handling chemicals both indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

Uphold company safety policies and take immediate corrective actions if potential issues arise or unsafe behavior is observed.Provide effective written and oral communications to the relieving shift to ensure proper pass downs.Pull samples throughout all processes and deliver them to the lab.Monitor and accurately record temperatures, pressures, and rates of flow for upward or downward trends.Utilize process control computer interfaces to maintain variables within target rates.Perform production quality control checks and ensure that plant purification parameters are within specifications.Assist with troubleshooting potential issues and provide assistance to others when problems occur.Ensure documentation is in accordance with company policies and procedures.Communicate with engineers, maintenance technicians, lab technicians, and other team members to assist in identifying maintenance issues and planning maintenance activities.Assume personal accountability for meeting company standards of continuous personal and professional development.Participate in training and respond to emergency situations as required.Actively comply with all operating policies and procedures.Ensure that workstations are free from hazardous materials.Maintain awareness of ISO 9001 standards.Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Process/Production Operator in a chemical work environment.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Fluent in reading, speaking, and writing English to understand operation procedures.Ability to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation.Proficiency in reading and operating computers.Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule, including nights, every other weekend, and occasional holidays.Ability to pass a respirator fit test examination.High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with chemical handling, manufacturing, and machine operation.Familiarity with cleanroom environments.

Work Environment

This position is located in a chemical processing facility, featuring a very clean and well-maintained building with stringent safety regulations in place. The rotating shift schedule requires availability to work a 12-hour shift from midnight to noon, with alternating weekends off. The environment is equipped with various chemical systems, ensuring a professional and secure workplace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Forest Grove, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.22 - $26.72/hr.
