Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cleanroom Technician to join our team as a Chemical Operator in Blue Ash, OH. This role is a 3-month contract-to-hire position with opportunities for growth and advancement. The position requires working in a cleanroom environment across different shifts, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of chemical manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Prepare and verify utility systems, such as hot water units and heat exchangers, for safe and efficient operation.Operate production equipment including reactors, kettles, mixers, pumps, filtration systems, and forklifts, following established procedures.Manage material movement by loading, unloading, staging, and packaging products while accurately completing documentation.Track process conditions, record operational data, and report unusual trends or deviations promptly.Run systems such as extruders, packaging equipment, wastewater treatment units, and boilers, meeting safety, quality, and performance expectations.Participate in shift change updates and daily production meetings for seamless workflow and communication.Calibrate equipment and instruments according to gauge and measurement standards.Enter inventory movements and material transactions into the ERP system accurately.Use approved checklists for equipment changeovers, line clearances, sanitation tasks, and verification steps.Confirm raw material details before staging for production use.Utilize digital tools and resources for on-the-job learning and task execution.Seek clarification when needed to ensure understanding and reduce operational risks.Communicate effectively with supervisors, support teams, and management regarding safety, quality, or production flow concerns.Complete mandatory training, certifications, and assessments within required timeframes.Follow all environmental, health, safety, and quality guidelines to maintain a compliant and hazard-free work environment.Maintain clean, organized work areas in line with housekeeping and GMP expectations.Offer constructive feedback to peers to enhance team performance and operational excellence.

Essential Skills

1+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.Experience in blending/mixing from food, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing.Forklift operation experience.Ability to stand for the entire shift.Willingness to work in a non-temperature controlled facility.Proficiency in wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with production, chemical mixing, compounding, and batching.Knowledge of SOPs, batch records, and FDA regulations.Experience in machine operation and chemical handling.Capability in heavy lifting and working with fragrance and filtration processes.

Work Environment

The work environment includes working in a cleanroom with various technologies such as reactors, mixers, and filtration systems. The facility operates on a rotating shift schedule with first, second, and third shifts available from Monday to Friday. Employees must adhere to GMP standards and wear appropriate PPE at all times. The facility is non-temperature controlled, requiring adaptability to varying conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
