Chemical Engr II
As a **Chemical Engineer II** here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in supporting chemical engineering projects and initiatives within the company. You will be responsible for applying the principles of chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics to solve problems that involve the production or use of chemicals, fuel, drugs, food, and many other products. You will use your broad knowledge and expertise to help run experiments and tests to aid in the design, development, and implementation of chemical processes and solutions. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and improvement, ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will report directly to our Hitech team leader in Seoul R&D and you’ll work out of our Seoul location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the organization by contributing to technical excellence, process optimization, and safety, thereby enhancing the company's competitiveness and success in the market. Help to build a strong, diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying, and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** + Develop gas detection method to detect exotic gases + Evaluate gas introduction system for performance and reliability. + Serve on new product development teams, to provide characterization and verification gas tests + Develop test plan for assigned gas work + Set-up standard gas generation system + Gas concentration analysis at several different levels + Data acquisition + Perform gas verification at several gas concentrations + Present results, provide summary reports and performance specifications to project team to enhance product development and improvement. + Provide technical/scientific support and services to Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Field Service, and Customers on chemical and gas related subjects. + Provide technical support for chemical related product testing in the production. + Assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. **BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL** + Comprehensive medical insurance + Paid vacation and retirement benefits + Career Growth and Professional Development opportunities **YOU MUST HAVE** + Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering + 2+ years of experience in chemical engineering. + Proven knowledge of chemical engineering principles and practices. + Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools. + Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in the chemical industry. **WE VALUE** + Advanced degree in Chemistry or in Chemical Engineering or related field. + Experience in analytical chemistry and data analysis. + Hands-on expertise with UV/VIS, HPLC, GC, IC, and FTIR techniques. + Familiarity with lab safety standards and practices + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, and Python (including machine learning applications). + Knowledge of gas detection principles **ABOUT HONEYWELL** Honeywell International Inc.
