Job Description
As a Chemical Compounding Operator, you will be responsible for producing batches of coatings and paints by following Batch Tickets to ensure products meet customer and company specifications. This role involves gathering raw materials, blending micros, and taking samples for testing.
ResponsibilitiesProduce batches of coatings and paints according to specifications.Gather and blend raw materials.Take and process material samples for testing.Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to SOPs and Health Safety Rules and Regulations.Participate in the Quality Process.Routinely lift, carry, and move raw materials or products weighing up to 100 pounds.Stand, kneel, and walk on concrete for approximately 90% of the workday.Operate a forklift up to 10% of the day.Operate various warehouse equipment.Essential SkillsExperience in chemical mixing and blending.Familiarity with SOPs and batch records.Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with batching, blending, or manufacturing liquid-based products.Positive attendance record.High school diploma required.Work Environment
This role requires working shifts from 6am-4:30pm or 4:30pm-3am, Monday through Thursday, with a 40-hour work week and potential for overtime. Employees may spend up to 90% of their time standing, kneeling, or walking on concrete and may operate a forklift up to 10% of the time. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.25/hr.
