Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie - Pastry to join our culinary team in the beautiful town of Ubud, Indonesia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the pastry section, creating delectable desserts, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Lead and manage the pastry section, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality outputCreate and execute innovative pastry recipes and dessert presentationsCollaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and update menusTrain and supervise junior pastry staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environmentMaintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standardsMonitor and control food costs, minimizing waste while maintaining qualityEnsure proper storage and rotation of pastry ingredients and productsAssist in inventory management and ordering of pastry suppliesParticipate in menu planning and costing activitiesContribute to the overall success of the kitchen by supporting other sections as needed

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent culinary degree, specializing in pastryMinimum of one year experience as a Chef de Partie in high-end hotels or restaurantsExtensive knowledge and expertise in pastry and baking techniquesProven ability to create innovative and visually appealing dessertsStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent time management and organizational abilitiesDemonstrated commitment to teamwork and customer serviceKeen eye for detail and commitment to operational excellenceProficiency in food cost control and inventory managementIn-depth understanding of food safety and hygiene standardsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentCreativity and passion for developing new pastry recipes and presentationsFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
