About the role
Join the talented culinary team at the prestigious Park Hyatt Auckland as a Chef de Partie for our Cafe the Pantry. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting exceptional dishes that showcase the finest local and seasonal ingredients. Breakfast, Lunch, Or Dinner. As an integral part of our dynamic FOH kitchen, you will contribute to the delivery of an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.
What you'll be doing
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes
Ensure efficient, organised and safe food preparation and cooking in your assigned station
Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to deliver exceptional service and meet guest expectations
Adhere to all food safety, hygiene and quality control standards
Contribute to the development and refinement of menu items and recipes
Participate in inventory management and ordering of supplies for your area of responsibility
Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to junior kitchen staff

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in an upscale restaurant or hotel kitchen
Passion for creating innovative, visually appealing and flavorsome dishes
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional customer service
Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
Must have legal NZ working rights
