Job description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie specializing in Indian cuisine to join our culinary team in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the Indian cuisine section, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and food safety.

Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate the Indian cuisine section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient and high-quality food production Prepare and cook a wide variety of Indian dishes according to recipes and standards Supervise and train junior kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques and recipes Maintain inventory and order supplies for the Indian cuisine section Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, including local regulations Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth overall operations Assist in menu planning and development of new Indian dishes Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain consistency and meet customer expectations Participate in kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks Adapt Indian recipes to accommodate local ingredients and dietary requirements when necessary Qualifications Culinary degree or diploma with a focus on Indian cuisine Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, specializing in Indian cuisine In-depth knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, spices, and regional variations Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong leadership abilities with experience in training and mentoring junior staff Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus Creativity in menu planning and food presentation Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP principles Familiarity with kitchen equipment and maintenance procedures Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt to working in Saudi Arabia Knowledge of local food regulations and dietary customs is preferred About the Company
