The Opportunity

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our Park Hyatt London River Thames team in the Colleague Restaurant. As a Chef de Partie for the Colleague Restaurant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, nutritious, and well-balanced meals to our colleagues, supporting their wellbeing and fuelling their performance throughout the day.

As a Chef de Partie, you will lead your section with precision, creativity, and consistency. You’ll be expected to uphold the highest culinary standards, mentor junior chefs, and contribute to the seamless execution of our diverse menus.

Kitchen Leadership: Lead and coordinate the preparation and service of meals in the colleague restaurant, ensuring smooth operations and a positive kitchen environment.

Menu Execution Quality Control: Prepare and present dishes to the highest standards, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning, while supporting menu variety and nutritional balance.

Inventory Cost Management: Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and help manage food costs and waste reduction in line with sustainability goals.

Training Development: Support and guide junior chefs and kitchen assistants, fostering skill development and maintaining team morale.

Health Safety Compliance: Enforce hygiene standards, food safety protocols, and kitchen cleanliness in line with HACCP and local regulations.

Problem Solving Decision-Making: Step in during service disruptions, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure continuous service to colleagues.

Collaboration with Head Chef: Assist in menu planning, seasonal updates, and operational improvements tailored to colleague preferences and dietary needs.

Experience Required

Proven experience in hotel culinary operations, with the ability to manage and lead a section independently

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and HACCP compliance

Excellent communication and leadership skills to support and inspire junior team members

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-outlet environment

Experience Preferred

Previous experience in a Chef de Partie role within a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant

Proven work experience or exposure to London-based hotels, with knowledge of UK hospitality standards, local compliance (e.g., Food Hygiene Rating Scheme), and service expectations for international guests

Level 2 or higher food safety certification is preferred, with strict adherence to health and safety regulations
