**Duties and responsibilities related to the Chef de Partie role**
+ Participate in and supervise the preparation and cooking of all food on the given section in accordance with established recipe cards and methods.
+ Check daily function sheets, menus, event orders and forecasts to ensure appropriate production levels.
+ Ensure food is currently prepared to established standard by sampling on a regular basis.
+ Ensure all dishes are correctly garnished (where appropriate) before being sent to the outlets for service.
+ Conduct on-the-job training as appropriate.
+ Participate in menu planning as appropriate.
+ Coach and encourage employees in your section to adopt correct work methods.
+ Assist the Sous Chef in the completion of market lists in accordance with Hyatt quality and quantity standards.
