About the role
As a Chef de Partie at DoubleTree by Hilton Auckland Karaka, you'll channel your creative flair and passion for food into leading your section with excellence. You'll inspire your team to craft exceptional dishes while overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring top-tier food preparation and presentation. Your role is key in delivering a distinctive and engaging culinary experience to our guests that sets our hotel apart.
Duties/responsibilities
Ensure the consistent delivery of quality, well-presented dining experiences to our guests
Work with the kitchen team to ensure exceptional customer service standards ensuring guest enquires are responded to in a timely manner.
Supervise a team of highly passionate culinary enthusiasts and assist with training team members
Ensure all food production is compliant with food standards
Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets
Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
Assist in menu designing and planning

A minimum of 2 years demonstrated previous experience in a similar role
Relevant culinary qualification
Strong coaching skills with the ability to motivate a team
Knowledge of current food trends
Excellent communication skills
