**Description:**
At Park Hyatt St. Kitts, we are dedicated to providing our guests with rare and enriching experiences. The Chef de Partie plays a key role in achieving this by preparing exceptional dishes that reflect the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. Reporting to the Sous Chef, the Chef de Partie is responsible for managing an assigned section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations, and guiding junior culinary colleagues with care and professionalism.
**Responsibilities**
+ Prepare, cook, and present menu items in line with Park Hyatt quality standards and guest expectations.
+ Supervise and support Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs within the assigned section.
+ Ensure adherence to recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
+ Maintain high levels of cleanliness, organization, and compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
+ Monitor stock, report shortages, and assist with inventory control to minimize waste and manage costs effectively.
+ Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef on menu development, seasonal offerings, and special events.
+ Support the training, coaching, and development of colleagues to foster a culture of continuous learning and engagement.
+ Ensure efficient communication and cooperation across all kitchen sections to deliver seamless service.
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum **2–3 years’ experience** as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in a luxury hotel or fine-dining environment.
+ Strong culinary skills with proven knowledge of **international cuisine, modern cooking techniques, and kitchen operations** .
+ **Culinary degree** or recognized certification preferred.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of **food safety, hygiene practices, and HACCP standards** .
+ Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a **fast-paced, high-standard environment** .
+ Excellent **organizational, supervisory, and interpersonal skills** with the ability to lead, train, and motivate colleagues.
+ Passionate about gastronomy and dedicated to delivering **authentic, memorable dining experiences** with creativity and attention to detail.
+ A collaborative team player who leads with **care, respect, and a positive attitude** .
+ Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work **mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays** as business demands.
+ Physically capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and transporting items up to **50 pounds** , and proficient in the safe handling of professional kitchen equipment.
