About The Role:
At Next we have a great opportunity for a Chef to join our catering team at our Head Office in Leicestershire. You will work in a busy kitchen producing high quality food using fresh produce daily. You will work as part of a team and also under your own initiative producing breakfast and lunch for around 350 to 400 covers per day. This is a full time position working Monday-Friday 6:45am-2:30pm
What You'll Take On:
Produce high-standard menus on time for service, bringing new ideas, passion, and creative flair to our daily offerings.Ensure all food is produced within EHO food safety guidelines, strictly adhering to recipes and allergen controls.Work across multiple stations on a rota basis and maintain impeccable cleanliness of your work area.Use stock in rotation and report any quality issues directly to the Head Chef.Maintain a proactive and positive approach to safety and hygiene standards.Keep managers and colleagues informed, staying up to date with the latest food trends to keep our menus modern.
What You'll Bring:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the food industry.A recognised catering qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) and a current Food Hygiene Certificate.Excellent organisational and time-keeping skills with the ability to keep accurate records.Pro-active, calm under pressure, and able to follow instructions while using your own initiative when needed.A team player who is willing to step up and support the brigade during peak times.
