Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Charge RN, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives.

To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

Performs psychiatric assessment including mental status exam, safety assessment, psychosocial data collection and functional status.Applies appropriate interventional techniques including, but not limited to, safety of the suicidal patient, use of less restrictive alternatives, safety monitoring, protective devices, seclusion and restraints.Documents observations, behavior and interventions in a timely and accurate manner, utilizing psychiatric terms/nomenclature.Facilitates psycho-educational groups and community meetings.Applies knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, behavior and medications to the performance of job duties.Uses effective listening and communication skills for facilitation of individual patient interactions.

Shift: 6:45am - 7:15pm

Core Schedule: Week 1 Sun, Thu, Fri; Week 2 Wed, Fri, Sat
