This role is part of the global Digital Integration Tribe that consists of internal staff and partners across multiple regions and locations. The Digital Integration Tribe belongs to the Digital Platforms Portfolio, that covers the platforms and solutions that enable the acceleration of the digital transformation agenda of HEINEKEN and is in turn part of Technology Security Operations (TSO).
The Digital Integration Tribe consists of multiple product teams, each covering part of the Digital Integration technologies: API Management, Event Drive Architecture (EDA) and Integration Platforms (iPaaS).
HEINEKEN follows a non-native Hybrid Integration Platform strategy. We have a limited set of integration platforms, that each support unique integration patterns. Each platform is owned/supported by separate software vendors: ESB and iPaaS from SAP (SAP PO/SAP CI), iPaaS from Boomi and MuleSoft, API-management from Microsoft (Azure APIM), cloud event broker from Solace, Managed File Transfer and EDI Hub from Seeburger. Around these platforms, we strive to optimize transparency (New Relic), highest code quality (SonarQube), automation and release management (Azure Dev/Ops and CTS+).
Your responsibilities would include:
building and maintaining the technical roadmap of the Digital Integration tribe by collecting and consolidating input from Product Architects, platform architects and relevant stakeholders
providing and communicating integration architecture, design standards and policies to customers and federated teams in close cooperation with the Global Architecture team
embedding a culture of learning, empowerment, rapid experimentation, adaptability and collaboration
balancing and challenging the tension between long-term vision and short-term goals
acting as a thought leader on integration strategy for the Digital Integration tribe
serving as an ambassador of the Digital Integration tribe within the HEINEKEN enterprise and promoting API-first and event-driven integration strategies
connecting with peers in the Enterprise Application Integration field and with integration platform vendors to drive value delivery
monitoring the integration platform market to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
leading the adoption of new integration capabilities and setting requirements for new integration applications or modules
being accountable for the overall quality of the integration platforms
driving innovation with a strong outside-in perspective by engaging with external peers and vendors
driving continuous improvement of integration standards and platforms and identifying architectural optimizations
serving as the key liaison between Digital Integration and Enterprise Architecture, domains and communication on technical topics
acting as a trusted technology and strategy advisor for the global Digital Integration tribe and supporting the Tribe Lead, Product Owners, Product Architects and DevOps teams
partnering closely with Global Architects and business function consultants
collaborating with Solution Architects and SMEs to define, maintain and apply integration standards and best practices while developing the integration community
driving compliance with established policies, guidelines and procedures
ensuring security by design and proactively addressing prevention and remediation to maintain a secure platform compliant with global security policies and standards
implementing and upholding cybersecurity measures
supporting the Tribe Lead on technical topics with partners including proposal evaluations, technical assessments and negotiations
supporting and developing chapter members as a Chapter Lead through coaching, mentoring and feedback while driving professional growth, facilitating best-practice sharing, aligning standards across product teams, collaborating with Tribe Lead, Product Owners and Agile Coaches, and playing a key role in recruitment, onboarding and skill assessment.
You are a good candidate if you have:
bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or computer science related studies
minimum of 10 years of IT experience and at least 5+ years of experience in a similar role dealing with building and maintaining enterprise integration strategy within an international and multi-cultural environment
experience in a complex, multinational, multi-location, multi-partner and federated enterprise environment
demonstratable hands-on experience with various integration architecture designs and patterns such as microservices, event-based architectures and SOA
understanding of complex IT landscapes and how integration enables the exchange of high volumes and spikes of transactions and messages in a global operational setup
deep and sound understanding of various integration patterns and techniques such as synchronous and asynchronous APIs, iPaaS and managed file transfer
enterprise architect–level proven experience with at least two preferred platforms such as Boomi, Azure APIM, SAP Cloud Integration, Solace or similar industry-leading platforms across on-premises and cloud environments
solid understanding of and exposure to integration technologies such as APIs and event-driven architectures, integration standards including XML, JSON and OAS, and concepts like event brokers, gateways and data virtualization
expert-level ability to present and explain high-level integration concepts to both business and IT stakeholders
ability to drive decisions and recommendations on integration patterns and approaches while leveraging existing and new technologies within the Digital Integration area
agile mindset with practical experience in agile delivery, with scrum experience being a plus
ability to demonstrate end-to-end ownership of work while dealing with uncertainty in requirements and delivering architectural designs, policies and guidelines
reasonable knowledge of DevOps, quality engineering, CI/CD pipelines and coding best practices, with exposure to tools such as SonarQube, Azure DevOps and New Relic being a plus
ability to effectively persuade stakeholders on product goals, vision, progress, strategy and big-picture thinking
strong product sense with attention to cost-to-value propositions
good understanding of and exposure to working within large IT and enterprise environments
ability to lead by example and to define and drive agendas with clear objectives in challenging environments
excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English, with the ability to translate technical language into a story understandable for less technical audiences across different seniority levels.
