The Opportunity

Provides spiritual care and support to patients, families and staff. The Chaplain Resident is a full-time student enrolled in the Spiritual Wellness Clinical Pastoral Education Program, a fully accredited education program of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. and is dually accountable to both the Directors of Spiritual Wellness Department and the Pastoral Education Program. Serves as chaplain to one or more patient services areas, on a rotating basis, provides 24-7 On-Call Spiritual Care for patients, families and staff, preaches at ecumenical worship services, memorial services, daily Healing Prayer Services, provides pre-operative pastoral care and support, in accordance with religious tradition and at the request of patients, families or staff. Provides religious sacraments in support of patient religious beliefs and spiritual practices.
