Channel Operations Manager – GMA & Luzon

Location: Greater Manila Area (GMA) and Luzon
Role Overview
As part of Abbott Nutrition’s mission to help people live healthier lives through trusted science-based nutrition, the Channel Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence across Mercury Drug branches in GMA and Luzon. This leader will drive execution of Abbott Nutrition programs, strengthen customer partnerships, and deliver superior service standards that reinforce Abbott’s reputation as the nutrition partner of choice.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Operations Management
Oversee daily operations across multiple Mercury Drug branches in GMA and Luzon.Ensure strict compliance with Abbott Nutrition policies, SOPs, and pharmaceutical retail regulations.Monitor inventory, merchandising, and store upkeep to maintain brand visibility and product availability.Sales & Performance Monitoring
Track and analyze sales performance against revenue targets.Use KPIs (sales, customer satisfaction, shrinkage, operational costs) to identify opportunities and risks.Collaborate with Trade and Marketing teams to design localized promotions that drive growth.People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop third-party frontliners (Regional Supervisors, Field Supervisors, Coordinators, Merchandisers).Conduct performance evaluations, succession planning, and capability-building initiatives.Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.Customer Experience
Champion Abbott Nutrition’s customer-first standards in Mercury Drug branches.Address escalated customer and branch concerns with speed and empathy.Implement loyalty and retention programs that strengthen consumer trust in Abbott Nutrition.Operational Excellence
Streamline processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Conduct regular fieldwork to ensure Abbott Nutrition programs are consistently implemented.Drive operational audits and compliance checks to safeguard brand integrity.Strategic Initiatives
Support branch openings, identifying opportunities and translating insights into actionable strategies.Provide market intelligence on competitor activities, consumer trends, and evolving customer needs.Partner with internal stakeholders to align trade execution with Abbott Nutrition’s long-term growth agenda.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Pharmacy, or related field.7–10 years of experience in retail operations, preferably in pharmaceuticals or FMCG.Proven track record in multi-site operations management.Strong leadership and people management skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Knowledge of pharmaceutical retail regulatory requirements.Willingness to travel extensively across GMA and Luzon.Proficiency in data-driven decision-making tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.Key Competencies
