The team you will be a part of
In this role, you will be part of a newly formed Strategic Change & Communications team within the Global HR function. You will report directly to the VP, Global Org & Talent, and will be part of the Global Org & Talent COE (Org Effectiveness, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and Leadership Development, Inclusion and Diversity, and Strategic Change and Communications). You will partner closely with the Chief HR Officer and the rest of the Global HR Leadership team, Internal Communications Leads within the business, and External Communications.
This role in summaryWhirlpool is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a critical Change Management and Communications Lead position located at our Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, Michigan, or our World of Whirlpool location in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for designing and implementing a holistic change management and communications strategy for the enterprise.
As a result, this role will help to build a culture of resilience and adaptability to successfully support agile business needs. In this role, you will also serve as the change management lead for critical enterprise-level initiatives. This role will also care for the development of change management competency within the organization through training, tools, and resources. #LI-DD1
Your responsibilities will includeAs part of the Strategic Change & Communications team, establish a holistic enterprise change management strategy to enable the global business strategy and build a change-ready culture
Strategically partner with the business, including executive leadership, to provide organizational change management for large-scale priority initiatives
Ensure a comprehensive change strategy, including stakeholder and human risk analysis, proactive resistance management, and change adoption measurement
Partner with communications leadership to ensure intentionally crafted and timely communications for appropriate stakeholders/audiences
Develop organizational change management competency through learning paths, resources, and tools
Promote the full business value of enterprise change management and its impact on employee culture and engagement
Minimum requirementsBachelor’s degree with emphasis in Change Management, Communications, Organizational Development or related fields.
7+ years of Change Management, Communications, and/or Organizational Development experience.
3+ years leading Change Management and/or Communications for large-scale, company-wide initiatives for which you designed and implemented a strategic change plan.
Preferred skills and experiencesStrategic thinker who can translate complex concepts to actionable, understandable plans, programs, and materials, but also roll up your sleeves to effectively implement plans and deliver maximum impact.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and geographies.
Advanced writing, editing, and presentation skills; ability to convey subtle, technical, or complex messages in writing.
5+ years of experience working in or supporting Human Resources.
