Description We are looking for a skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and direct the financial operations of our Non-Profit organization in Queens, New York. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can manage all aspects of financial planning, compliance, and reporting to ensure the organization's fiscal health and accountability. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding financial strategies while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational goals. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, policies, and practices to support the organization's mission and goals. • Supervise treasury, accounting, budgeting, tax, and audit functions, while fostering strong relationships with banks, auditors, and financial advisors. • Maintain and enforce financial controls and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements. • Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports, including quarterly financial statements, annual A-133 reports, and tax filings such as Form 990. • Ensure government grant reporting and compliance, including adherence to required standards and submission deadlines. • Monitor and ensure compliance with pension-related filings, including the annual preparation and submission of Form 5500. • Provide strategic financial advice and transactional support to executive leadership and senior staff. • Review and approve transaction documents, ensuring accurate accounting of all related activities. • Lead the search, recommendation, and implementation of accounting software and systems to optimize financial operations. • Manage and oversee the organization's compliance with lobbying activities, government reporting systems, and other required filings.
