CFD/CAE Jr. Engineer
**Job Description** You are responsible for the creation and documentation of modeling plans to engineering team and initiation of new processes and tools. Responsible to create and execute Finite Element Analysis (FEA) plans for assigned projects. Participate in the creation of assigned subsystem Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models . Motivate CAE suppliers and internal resources to meet program milestones and deliverables. Perform and oversee resources for virtual assessment of designs and compare results to performance requirements. Initiate design solutions to resolve any performance issues with mass & cost efficiency. **Key requeriments :** -College degree on Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Physics Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related experience - Around 3 or 4 experience years -Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English, oral and written -Quick learner, able to adapt and acquire new knowledge rapidly -Strong autonomy in managing tasks and responsibilities -Analytical mindset, capable of identifying and solving performance challenges through innovative approaches -CFD Engineering expertise: Proficient in CAE/CFD tools such as StarCCM+, OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent, PreonLab, PowerFLOW, FloEFD, among others -Or CAE Engineering expertise: Skilled in tools including HyperMesh, HyperView, HyperGraph, OptiStruct, SimSolid, SimLab, LS-DYNA, Abaqus, etc. -Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams -Knowledge in CAE evaluations, both dynamic and static and/or knowledge in CFD evaluations, including static and transient simulations -Programming knowledge in Python and Java (desirable) Hybrid position 3 days at office 2 days working from home **Activities:** •Proposes innovative solutions to complex and unconventional challenges, with moderate assistance. •Maintains high rigor in adhering to established processes. •Participates in broad and varied tasks with different levels of complexity •Possesses a clear understanding of the fundamental principles of the technical domain. •Produces and evaluates solutions to improve the Performance, quality and cost of the designs, based on specialized engineering knowledge •Generates virtual assessments reports. •Participates in global forums and meetings to share technical information with other regions (e.g. new procedures and new simulation techniques) •Create professional and long-lasting professional relationship with peers Work in coordination with other areas of engineering such as: Design engineering, Release, Development, Studio, Validation and Manufacturing, to develop integral solutions using math virtual simulation Note: GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
