Certified Welding Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Certified Welding Engineer/Educator to serve as a subject matter expert and mentor in welding processes across multiple sites.

Requirements:

BS in Welding, Metallurgical, Materials, Mechanical, or equivalent discipline preferred 7+ years of applicable experience Strong combination of welding knowledge with practical hands-on experience Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of GD&T analysis and statistical qualification methodology

Preferred Skills:

Certified Welding Engineer/Educator through AWS CWI or SCWI Experience in laser beam welding, resistance welding, ultrasonic welding, gas-tungsten arc welding, and brazing Working experience with aerospace welding specifications AWS D17.1 (fusion) and D17.2 (resistance) Experience in manufacturing of high reliability Aerospace Battery industry and process experience Experienced with automated/robotic welding processes, including vision inspection Strong machine programming skills for welding equipment such as lasers Responsibilities: Serve as the welding subject matter expert for multiple sites Support complex weld-related failure investigations and troubleshooting Coordinate and conduct welding training and certifications for multiple sites Mentor and train other welding and manufacturing process engineers

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
