Position Summary:
As a Certified Surgical First Assistant, you will work alongside cardiovascular surgeons to support safe, successful outcomes in the OR. You’ll contribute to pre-op prep, intra-op surgical tasks, and post-op care in high-acuity cardiovascular procedures.
What you will do:
Position patients and assist in preoperative preparation
Provide surgical exposure, achieve hemostasis, and assist with suturing and closure
Harvest veins or grafts and aid in implant prep as needed
Apply dressings and support patient transfer post-procedure
What you will need:
Graduate of accredited surgical assisting program
Certified CSFA, CSA, or SA-C required
2+ years of OR experience preferred
Strong knowledge of CVOR procedures, aseptic technique, and anatomy
