Are you ready to take your sonography skills on the road and make a difference across multiple Wellstar locations? Join the Wellstar Enterprise Support Team (W.E.S.T.), where every day brings new challenges, new learning, and new opportunities to deliver exceptional care.
As a Certified Sonographer on the W.E.S.T. Float Team, you’ll bring your expertise and passion for patient care to a variety of hospital settings — ensuring high-quality imaging, compassionate service, and reliable teamwork wherever you go.
What You’ll Do:Perform a wide range of ultrasound exams following department protocols
Ensure accurate patient identification, documentation, and image quality
Collaborate with physicians and care teams to support safe, age-appropriate care
Maintain patient comfort, dignity, and privacy throughout every procedure
Use critical thinking to adapt to each patient and clinical situation
Keep equipment clean, calibrated, and fully operational
Participate in training, education, and quality initiatives that support team excellence
Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism while floating across multiple Wellstar facilities

Required Qualifications:Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Successful completion of an accredited Sonography Program or an accredited Radiologic Technology Program required
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of clinical sonography experience required
Licenses & Certifications:
ARDMS – Registered Medical Sonographer or ARRT-S – ARRT Sonography certification required
BLS – Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
BLS-I – Basic Life Support Instructor (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience performing a variety of exams across multiple specialties (e.g., OB/GYN, Abdomen, Vascular, Small Parts)
Prior float, travel, or multi-site experience within a health system
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new teams and clinical environments.
Strong patient-centered communication and service excellence skills.
