**Job Summary and Responsibilities** As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support. + Verifies physician orders to carry out all aspects of respiratory care, and documents all respiratory activity, to ensure excellent quality care to all customers. + Cleans and assembles equipment, and ensures supply stock levels to meet patient care commitments. + Educates and instructs patient, patient's family, and team members on therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to ensure excellent communication to all customers. + Possesses lifesaving skills for all age groups, while maintaining health care provider certification, to provide quality care to patients. + Collaborates with team members to enhance and promote a team effort to provide timely and effective patient care. + Fulfills continuing education requirements and maintains current licensure to maintain required qualifications. **Job Requirements** Required + Completion of a Respiratory Care Degree Program + Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) + Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) + Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days + Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 months **Where You'll Work** St. Luke’s Health–Brazosport Hospital is located on a beautiful, 25-acre campus in Lake Jackson, Texas.
