POSITION SUMMARY:
Monday–Friday schedule – possible call and weekend rotationInpatient & outpatient care mixKey Responsibilities:
Conducting pre-procedure histories and physical examsProviding inpatient consultative services in collaboration with the attending physicianProvide patient follow up including inpatient and outpatient concernsOrdering diagnostic tests, labs, and medications in partnership with nursing staffManaging discharge instructions, prescriptions, and referralsSupporting quality improvement initiatives and clinical educationAssessing, diagnosing, and treating patients undergoing interventional proceduresOther duties as determinedEDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Requires a master's degree from an accredited Radiologist Assistant program, licensure/certification as a Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA), and 2 or more years of related experience.NYS licensure and active DEA registrationDemonstrated ability to thrive in a high-acuity clinical setting Strong preference for candidates with surgical, interventional radiology (IR), emergency medicine, or ICU experienceWORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:
Office/Clinical setting. Exposure class I – Routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions. Intermittent to regular exposure to unpleasant physical conditions. Regular exposure to situations that could cause moderate to serious injury or illness. Radiation exposure – when testing equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Heavy work: pushing, pulling, walking, standing, and lifting
