Certified Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to process prescription exceptions, resolve claim rejections, and conduct member and physician outreach. This role involves entering member demographics and prescription information, researching and resolving rejected insurance billing issues, and escalating prescription questions to Pharmacists. Additionally, you will assist with inbound and outbound patient or physician calls and perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Review and process prescription exceptions.
+ Resolve claim rejects and conduct member and physician outreach.
+ Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
+ Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and escalated member issues.
+ Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation.
+ Assist with inbound and outbound patient or physician calls.
+ Review Prior Authorizations for determination and send them to Pharmacists for final review.
+ Handle all health plans and types of medications.
Essential Skills
+ High School diploma.
+ Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Experience with insurance pharmacy operations and PBM.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Nationally Certified Technician and registered pharmacy technician in the state of residence is a plus.
+ Strong computer skills.
+ Experience as a Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician.
+ NHA and PTCB certifications are advantageous.
Work Environment
This is a professional remote environment requiring strong Wi-Fi and a dedicated office space with a closed door. You will work with multiple screens and systems. Shifts are Monday to Friday from 7am to 9pm in your time zone, with rotating weekend shifts every 4-6 weeks and some holidays. Training is from 10am to 6:30pm EST, with shifts starting at 8am, 9am, or 10am in your time zone after training. A computer will be provided, but you must have Wi-Fi, a workspace, and a smartphone.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
