You will assist with direct patient care as directed, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and at ease throughout their appointment and exam. In this role, your ability to facilitate a welcoming environment can make a difference in the lives of Cleveland Clinic patients every day. **A caregiver in this position works 7:30am to 4:30am or 10:00am to 6:30pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Receive and prepare patients for examination or treatment. + Perform routine screening tests. + Document patient information in the patient medical record. + Perform stocking, maintenance and other related duties as assigned, including maintaining exam rooms, equipment and supplies. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma/GED + Successful completion of the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant written exam + Recent graduate of an Ophthalmic Technology Program + Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) + One year of experience providing direct care under the supervision of an Ophthalmologist **Physical Requirements:** + Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and PC. + Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds. + May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting. + Visual acuity, including the ability to distinguish colors. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum hourly: $17.25 Maximum hourly: $26.31 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
