Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - El Mirage, AZ Location: El Mirage, AZ Pay Rate: $40–$45 per hour Schedule: 35 hours per week Duration: ASAP – End of School Year Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a school-based assignment in the El Mirage, AZ area. This role runs through the end of the current school year and involves supporting students in achieving functional success within an educational setting. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will deliver high-quality occupational therapy services, assist with treatment implementation, gather standardized assessment data, and maintain accurate documentation. Key Responsibilities + Provide occupational therapy treatment and interventions under the direction of a supervising Occupational Therapist (OT). + Implement individualized therapy plans designed to support student participation in daily routines. + Assist in collecting standardized assessment data as directed by the OT. + Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and related records. + Collaborate with staff and the supervising OT to promote functional skill development across various settings. + Participate in meetings and student planning as requested. + Follow all professional, federal, state, and local guidelines. Assignment & Caseload Details + Hours: 35 hours per week + Caseload: To be discussed during the interview. + Specific Sites: Details will be provided during the interview. Minimum Requirements + Current certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of Arizona. + Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. + One (1) year of experience as a COTA preferred. + Pediatric or school-based experience preferred. + Compliance with all relevant professional practice standards. + Current CPR certification, if applicable. + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable. + Current health certificate, if required by state or contract. + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements. + Must be 18 years of age or older.
