Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Crestwood, IL Location: Crestwood, IL Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time Hours: 32.5 hours/week (full-time) Pay: $45–$50 per hour Contract Dates: ASAP – End of School Year Position Overview We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services in an educational setting serving students in grades K–8. This opening is available due to a leave and will run through the end of the school year. The assignment allows for either full-time or part-time availability, with an immediate start desired. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will implement treatment plans, support assessment processes, document student progress, and assist students in developing functional and developmental skills needed for daily success. Key Responsibilities + Provide therapeutic interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist. + Assist with data collection and contribute to standardized assessment procedures. + Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress. + Float between multiple buildings within the assignment area to serve students in grades K–8. + Provide services to students with a variety of needs, including cognitive delays, autism spectrum disorders, and physical disabilities. + Collaborate with educational teams to support students’ participation in routine academic activities. Caseload Details + Service minutes range approximately 900–1150 minutes per week for a full-time schedule. + Number of students depends on direct service requirements. + Caseload and daily schedule will be discussed during the interview. + No classroom support duties required. Schedule + COTAs: 8:10 AM – 2:40 PM + OTs: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM Minimum Requirements + Current Illinois licensure or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. + Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. + One year of COTA experience preferred; pediatric or school-based experience is a plus. + CPR certification (if required). + TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray (if applicable). + Current health certificate per state/contract requirements. + Compliance with all federal, state, and professional practice standards. + Must be at least 18 years old.
