Job Summary:\rCore Responsibilities and Essential Functions:\rExcellence in Customer Service by partnering with health care team, patient/resident and family\r* Protects rights and dignity of patient/resident at all times.\r* Maintains confidentiality.\r* Participates in patient/resident rounding per standards.\r* Answers telephone and call lights promptly and notifies appropriate individual of needs for follow-up.\r* Resolves concerns and immediately informs the nurse/leader of complaints.\r* Proactively offers assistance and comfort measures to patient/residents and families.\r* Presents self in positive and professional manner and demonstrates sensitivity to concerns and needs of others.\rPatient/Resident Centered Care\r* Provide patient/resident care according to the Plan of Care.\r* Provide basic patient/resident care needs (e.g. hygiene, nutrition, elimination, physical comfort\r* measures) as assigned.\r* Assist nurse and other members of health care team with care delivery as assigned.\r* Provide meals and nourishment to the patient/resident according to dietary standards and the plan of care. * Documents intake and output.\r* Take vital signs and document, report verbally to the nurse any acute changes in a timely manner.\r* Document all patient care delivered in a timely manner as required by policy.\rProvide emotional support for the patient/resident and family\r*Verify how the patient/resident wants to be addressed.\r*Demonstrates professional and friendly bedside manner.\r*Provide time to listen and establish rapport.\r*Affirm and recognize the family's role in support of the patient/resident.\r*Observe any religious, or cultural restrictions or practices of the patient/resident and family.\rProvide for a safe and organized environment\r* Perform basic housekeeping duties in the immediate area of the patient/resident s room and bath.\r* Cleans and sanitizes personal direct care items (bedpan, urinal, etc) per policy/standards.\r* Ensure that safety hazards related to fall risk are removed or controlled i.e. cords, oxygen tubing, clutter etc.\r* Ensure that Oxygen signage is displayed, and tanks are stored correctly.\r* Ensure that bedrails, bed alarms and personal alarms are utilized correctly and encourage family and visitors to do\rso.\rEnsure that the patient/resident has all the required supplies needed for care\r* Stock the necessary medical supplies and skin care products in the patient/resident care area.\r* Stock the required linens and incontinent supplies in the patient/residents room.\r* Transports patient/resident as needed.\r* Transports specimens and supplies as needed.\r*Transoports specimens and supplies as needed.\rPerforms other duties as assigned\rComplies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.\rRequired Minimum Education:High School Diploma Accounting or Rising Senior in Good Standing Accounting\rRequired Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):\rAll certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.Cert Nurse Assistant or Basic Life Support\rAdditional License(s) and Certification(s):\rRequired Minimum Experience:\rLess than 1 year related experience Required\rRequired Minimum Skills:
