**Key Responsibilities**
+ Administer medications via oral, rectal, vaginal, optic, ophthalmic, nasal, topical, transdermal, buccal, sublingual, aerosol, nebulizer, and oral metered-dose inhaler routes.
+ Use prefilled insulin syringes from the pharmacy or manufacturer-prepared insulin pens (CMTs cannot administer controlled substances or draw up insulin).
+ Pre-package medications for administration outside the medical unit as required.
+ Issue ""Keep on Person"" (KOP) medications, if applicable.
+ Document medication administration, side effects, refusals, and counseling provided.
+ Count controlled substances under the oversight of an RN or LPN.
+ Report adverse effects, non-compliance, or medication safety concerns to an RN/LPN.
+ Report and document medication errors or potential errors.
+ Take and document vital signs, height, and weight.
+ Assist with electrocardiograms (ECGs/EKGs).
+ Measure and record intake and output.
+ Schedule patient appointments.
+ Follow safety and security protocols, including key, sharp, and controlled medication regulations.
+ Adhere to YesCare’s policies, participate in disaster drills, and ensure safe care delivery.
+ Perform tasks consistent with education, training, and scope of practice.
+ Provide effective care using a problem-solving approach for decision-making.
+ Perform other tasks as assigned to support patient care and facility operations.
**Key Qualifications**
+ Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification required.
+ Medication certification from an approved CMT program provider, as mandated by state law.
+ Certified by a professional organization in the state of hire.
+ Experience: 1–2 years of CNA experience preferred.
+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
+ Strong critical thinking, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
+ Effective communication and excellent customer service skills.
+ Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
+ Knowledgeable about state-specific laws and regulations governing CMT practice.
+ Completion of YesCare’s internal CMT training program and adherence to company policies and procedures.
+ Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
+ Follows standard precautions and uses personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
+ Perform all duties in compliance with YesCare policies and departmental procedures.
+ Demonstrate clinical competencies through initial and annual evaluations as assigned.
+ Ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control measures, and applicable laws.
+ Must undergo background check, security clearance, and drug screening.
