Job Summary:

This is a hybrid position performing clerical and clinical roles in an office setting, in which you will be a resource and role model for the Medical Assistances and Patient Service coordinator teams.

 

Communication is key in this role. You will communicate with patients, peers, members of the health care team and others. As a Patient Service Coordinator at ProMedica you will show your clinical knowledge outside patient rooms when answering phone calls, relaying messages to providers, nurses, and internal/external customers.  

 

As a Certified Medical Assistant at ProMedica, you will work directly with patients and providers to deliver clinical excellence and enhanced patient experience. The person in this position must provide a safe patient experience by following clinical protocols , regulatory requirement's, and standards.

REQUIREMENTS 

High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of a recognized MA program at an accredited college or university or worked 1 year as an MA to meet the requirements to become certified. Experience in the medical industry, including patient care or non-patient care roles. In lieu of experience, will accept continuing education in a healthcare related area of study. Registration or Certification as a Medical Assistant through accredited body required; or active license from applicable state as an LPN/RN.  BLS (CPR), must present a current BLS course card from the AHA at time of employment, or obtain certification within 90 days of hire. 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 

1 year experience in a medical office.
