Position Purpose
As a Street Medicine CMA, you’ll join a mobile, multidisciplinary team that provides healthcare to individuals experiencing homelessness directly in camps, on sidewalks, and in encampments. This role is critical in ensuring equitable access to compassionate, high-quality care for our most vulnerable neighbors.
What You Will Do
Perform basic clinical assessments including vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and lab specimen collection
Apply infection disease control and universal precautions in mobile and non-traditional settings
Provide interpretation services for clients and staff (if applicable)
Monitor, track, and replenish medical and outreach supplies
Support administrative functions such as scanning, filing, and documentation
Participate in outreach events and community health fairs 3–4 times a year
Deliver age-appropriate care, primarily to adults and older adults, with the possibility of serving pediatric patients on occasion
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma required; medical technical school training preferred
Current CMA certification and CPR certification required
6 months to 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
Phlebotomy and lab skills required; bilingual language skills a plus
Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations
Valid GA driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL may be required)
